Skippy (Skip RIght) is a former racehorse who came to ERAF with her son Drexels Gold. She genuinely likes to be around people. Skippy has completed training in ERAF's Begin Again program. Even though Skippy is not sound for riding, she is well-suited for ground-based Equine-assisted Services (EAS.) Given a little time to warm up to her environment, she connects well with her people both on the lead and off. Skippy is always the first to join up with people entering her pasture. She seems to have an innate ability to seek out and connect with those facing emotional challenges.
Skippy does have some arthritis but is kept comfortable and pasture-sound with front pads and shoes.
