Adoption Overview $300

Pico is a beautiful thoroughbred mare who came to Nexus because she is not appropriate for racing. Pico was born with a roachback which makes her a great candidate for a companion horse. Pico is very young minded and would do best being handled by a confident and competent handler every day. She yearns for a strong bond with her person and respects boundaries if they are very clear and consistent. She is still learning ground work; she will move away from anything she is uncertain of but with patience she accepts new experiences. Pico will do best with a person that has a solid understanding and experience with horses as she is very smart and will try to get her way as she is spirited and likes to be the boss. Pico is looking for a great home where she can keep a horse company in the pasture and continue her learning. She is a very sweet mare.
