Jade is a lovely standardbred mare looking for a light riding home or a home as a companion. She is currently with a foster that has started her back under saddle.
Jade is one of the special ones! She is sweet, quiet, submissive. She is a wonderful companion and has been found to be quiet and willing undersaddle as well, though she does need more saddle time to become confident. She is very easy to handle, ties, loads like a dream. She comes right in from the field when you call for her.
Her ideal adopter is a light rider (with rider and tack, her weight limit needs to stay at 200 pounds or less). Her adopter will need to have the knowledge and ability to keep up with her feed and supplements, she is a bit of a hard keeper and needs to stay at a specific caloric level to keep her weight.
She does not require special shoeing. She is sound and quiet, she has no food agression towards people or companions.
Jade has the obedient nature that many of her fellow Standardbreds are known for. She also has a quiet silly side if you take time to get to know her well. If you love Standardbreds, you will absolutely love this mare. She is one in a million.
