Adoption Overview $700

Sweet Potato

Sweet Potato is a friendly and affectionate mare with a heart of gold. She was found running at large before coming to HAHS, and her past neglect left her with some special care needs. Due to a history of founder, she must be kept in a dry lot to maintain her hoof health. She also has a hind leg issue that prevents her from being ridden, but that doesn’t stop her from being a wonderful companion.

Despite her past, Sweet Potato is a trusting and social horse who thrives on attention. She loves being groomed and will happily stand for as long as you’re willing to brush her. Her gentle demeanor and willingness to connect with people make her an excellent introductory horse for a first-time owner or someone looking for a loving equine companion.

One of Sweet Potato’s best qualities is how well she gets along with other animals. She is fantastic with minis, full-sized horses, donkeys, and other pasture mates, making her a great addition to a herd. Her easygoing nature helps her fit in just about anywhere!

Sweet Potato is looking for a home where she will be loved and cared for in a way she truly deserves. While she may not be rideable, she has so much to offer in companionship and affection. If you’re looking for a sweet and social mare to add to your family, Sweet Potato might be the perfect fit!
