Adoption Overview $250

Mercy

Mercy is a truly special mare whose name fits her gentle spirit perfectly. Though she is blind, she navigates the world with a quiet bravery that inspires everyone who meets her.

Without sight, Mercy relies on her other senses—her keen hearing, sensitive whiskers, and trusting heart—to guide her each day. She quickly learns the layout of her pasture and stall, memorizing her surroundings and moving carefully but confidently. Once she knows where she is, she walks with purpose, nickering softly when she hears familiar footsteps approaching.

Mercy forms deep bonds with her caregivers and pasture companions. She thrives on routine, kind voices, and patient handling. Her trust is something she gives thoughtfully, but once earned, it is unwavering. She enjoys gentle grooming sessions, standing quietly while soaking in the attention, and relaxing in the sun with her herd nearby.

Because of her blindness, Mercy will do best in a calm, consistent home that can provide a safe environment with minimal changes. She would flourish with a steady companion horse and an adopter who understands the importance of predictable routines and compassionate handling.

Mercy may not see the world with her eyes, but she feels it deeply with her heart—and she has so much love left to give.
