Ears on Backwards

Ears on Backwards (aka - "Ears") is a 2003, 15h Quarter Horse mare seeking a home as a companion. Ears has been used over the years primarily for trails with kids, husbands and more beginner riders. Her owner attempted barrel racing, but Ears hit the brakes and said "nope" to that idea, so she stuck primarily to trails. Due to her owner having difficulty keeping up with the care of her horses and farm, both physically and financially, Ears is in urgent need of a new, loving home.

Ears is a nice horse but, as with most mares, does have her opinions. So she'd be best suited for an intermediate handler. She ties, stands quietly for grooming, picks up all four hooves, sprays and bathes. She is good for the vet and farrier. Ears has been turned out with geldings and does very well, so she would be suitable for a mixed herd. She has currently been getting turned out by herself, but adjacent to another horse. Ears is an easy-keeper and it doesn't take much to maintain her full figure.

Ears has calcification at the front of both front pasterns that appear to be ringbone. She has been sore at times and does best with 24/7 turnout on fairly flat terrain.

If you feel you could give Ears a wonderful new home, let us know!
