Update: Cinnamon has made leaps and bounds when it comes to gaining weight and we have enjoyed watching her personality come out. Cinnamon will need a new owner who has experience with horses and who will be able to continue her training. We have done a lot of ground work and she is gaining more confidence when it comes to walking into the barn and being pushed out of her comfort zone. She has never offered to kick or show any aggression when asked to do something new. She responds best when someone is confident enough to reassure her while she is doing new things. She is standing quietly in the wash stall, being groomed and picking up her feet. She has also learned how to lunge in the round pen. SO far she has gotten along with different pasture mates but is happiest when she can be the queen of the herd. We are excited to continue her training and we can see all the potential Cinnamon has for the right home!
Meet "Cinnamon"! This sweet girl came to Red Dog when her owner could no longer take care of her. Although she is older at 20 plus, she is still spunky! She is thin right now so she is spending her days eating and enjoying treats. Once she has gained enough weight we will begin working with her under saddle to see how much she knows. If you are interested in adopting her, please begin the process by filling out an application.
