Sister is very new to the rescue so we have limited information at this point. The veterinarian aged her at about 10 years old based on her teeth. She is settling into her foster home and has become more comfortable with her surroundings there and her foster mom. But, she is somewhat jumpy and nervous around anyone new, or new situations. She is head shy and acts as if she is waiting for something bad to happen to her. She had her teeth floated and was vaccinated recently. We have seen photos of her being ridden by previous owner when she was much younger. We do not know how long it has been since she's been ridden. But, based on her behavior and distrust, it is safe to say that she will need someone to approach her from square one and start over with her. She also got her feet trimmed. She was very scared at first, but after the farrier worked patiently with her for awhile, she stood like a champ. She needs a patient person who will give her a lot of confidence and TLC.
