Izzy was part of a 10 horse neglect case September 2022 in a nearby county. She was thin and malnourished and the smallest of the horses. She is currently in a foster home and gaining weight nicely. The equine dentist aged her around 7 or 8. We are still assessing her, but it seems as if she has not been taught many things. Even though she did stand for the foster mother to put a saddle on her, she acted as though that was a first. She is a smart and feisty girl. She is the smallest of the horses at the foster home, but she has designated herself as the boss. She has a lot of energy and loves to run and kick out and play. She doesn't mind being haltered and tries to be in people's pockets if they will let her. In fact, learning boundaries is next on her "things to learn" list. We will assume, until further assessment is completed, that she has not been ridden before. She is current on vaccinations, dental, and farrier work. UPDATE: Izzy will be starting with a professional trainer on July 24th. We are looking forward to seeing what all she will learn in the 90 days she is there.
