Flicka

4/24/25 Update 

If you are looking for a kind, sweet, and confident mare to go on adventures with, Flicka is your girl. Flicka is a sweet and gentle older mare who has proven herself to be kind and well-mannered. She is an old soul and prefers a quiet life but still has lots left to give.

 Flicka came to us underweight and under muscled- but with proper diet, dental and veterinary care, she is steadily gaining weight and returning to proper health She has shown us good manners for leading, handling, and standing tied, as well as for standing for the vet and farrier. Flicka is being offered as a companion, who has had previous training under saddle,  While she still needs to regain muscle, we briefly evaluated her under saddle -she has shown us good manners for handling, lunging, and tacking.

She does have knee arthritis and but likely will be comfortable giving lead line rides, or light walk/ trot for child or small adult (we have not evaulatued her with a child rider)

 She currently lives outside and can be pastured with mares or geldings. We are still getting to know this sweet gem of a horse, so stay tuned for updates as she progresses in her training!
