Adoption Overview $750

Tornadic

5 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in KY
Get Stormy (Stormy Atlantic) out of Baroness Rose by Curlin

16 hands. He has no published works and never raced. He retired with a left knee fracture in July 2023. He had successful kissing spine surgery in 2024. Front shoes give him comfort for pedal osteitis in his right foot. He will be suitable for flat work only.

Tornadic is a friendly, outgoing, optimistic gelding – he loves attention, grooming, snuggling - any engagement is his cup of tea. He loves being ridden and is currently working lightly at a walk and trot in the arena and outdoors. Tornadic is happy to hop over small logs on trailrides. He can be enthusiastic at  times and will need a rider who enjoys minor playful bursts of energy when riding in the open.

Tornadic is very easy to work with on the ground - he walks well on a lead rope, stands well tied and crosstied, is polite for the farrier, and has no vices.

Tornadic does well turned out with one other playful gelding. He likes to be the boss but is also a good friend.

Tornadic is built like a little tank and would look great in western tack!
