16.3 hands. He last raced on 3/17/24 and retired with swelling and arthritis in his left front fetlock. He is currently sound for pleasure riding. Joint maintenance may increase his sport potential.
Stormy is an extraordinarily athletic, playful and kind gelding who has a great work ethic, gives maximum effort, and enjoys both arena work and hacks. For a skilled rider, Stormy brings a ton of natural talent and enthusiasm to the job.
Stormy is very polite and respectful of his handlers in the barn. He walks respectfully on a lead rope. He is very patient at feed time and is easy to blanket and tack up. He LOVES to be groomed and has no tickle spots. He accepts treats delicately. He is a good stall neighbor to both mares and geldings. He does best with larger, playful geldings in the field.
Stormy will be best suited for flat work. He would be a fabulous dressage partner, given joint support.
He was castrated on 5/6/24.
