Adoption Overview $750

He's Elusive

5 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in MI
Elusive Hour (Elusive Quality) out of Heart of Charlei by Stephen Got Even
Eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project's
THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION!

16+ hands. He last worked on 10/10/25 and retired with left knee chips. He is currently turning out with others and doing well.

Elusive is a gorgeous dark bay with lots of bling who has done well with adjusting to retirement - quiet in the pasture and in the stall, walks quietly on a lead rope, polite at feed time, easy to blanket. He has slightly sensitive skin and appreciates soft brushes and curries. He stands well for the vet and farrier. Elusive is happy in a solo paddock in sight of others, or with other geldings.

Under saddle, Elusive is practicing being quiet and confident. His ideal career will be trail or leisurely farm riding. He'd also do well as a companion horse / pasture pet.
