Adoption Overview $750

Haig Point

16.3 hands. He last raced on 10/1/24. He retired in February 2025 with a left front suspensory injury. He is currently turned out with a quiet gelding and does very well. He popped a splint in his right front in August 2025 this is now healed. He is currently sound at the walk and trot and can begin slow, easy trail rides.

Haig is handsome with chrome- a real standout! He is well mannered in the barn and on the ground. He walks politely on a lead rope. He is easy in turnout, turning out with other quiet geldings. He is the herd leader but is gently with less dominant horses. A very pleasant horse to be around.

Under saddle, Haig has been more energetic recently and would benefit from continuing training with an experienced rider once adopted. He's an intelligent, quick learner who will benefit from a rider that can continue his education as he progresses back to full work. He is currently sound at the walk and trot. He is expected to be a very nice flatwork partner.

Haig stands well for the vet and farrier.

Haig will have a waived fee for qualified and responsible homes that can commit to a lifetime home or will return the horse to Second Stride if no longer able to keep him.
