Adoption Overview $950

Grantham

6 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in KY
Declaration Of War (War Front) out of Darby Blush by Arch

16 hands. He last worked on 5/28/24. He retired with a right hind sesamoid fracture on 2/10/25. He has completed his rehab and is ready to return to work.

Grantham is a very kind horse to work with. He settled in quickly to our farm and is doing well. He remains quiet in his stall and doesn’t bother his neighbors. He seems to enjoy being groomed and stands quietly. He was well behaved for the vet and farrier. He seems intelligent and laid back.

As he has settled in, he has shown more of his personality. He is playful but not mean, similar to an annoying teenager! He will need a more experienced handler right now to correct his boyish behavior.

Grantham is well behaved under saddle and listens well. He is relaxed and easy going and doesn't seem to be reactive to new things. He has settled in and is more comfortable and forward under saddle since his first ride. He remains well behaved but is more energetic and really wants to do something fun. He wants to keep moving forward and keep his body and brain occupied. A good boy with a ton of potential for whatever his new job will be!

Grantham should be suitable for any flat discipline.
