Adoption Overview $6,500

Slugo

Slugo, or Slug, is an incredibly easy going, willing and kind gelding with so much potential! He was part of the Colorado State University's Right Horse Program and spent the last year training with a group of CSU students. The CSU Right Horse Program was proud to partner with ReRun Thoroughbred Adoptions and the ASPCA to bring Suppressor (and Slugo) along as a part of the very first Right Horse TB Makeover Team.

Slug has the temperament and kindness of a horse twice his age, and has always been a joy to work with. He has been to a few schooling shows, including an obstacle challenge, and has shown great promise in Competitive Trail. His unflappable personality is particularly suited to a young rider, or adult amateur and he has even shown promise as a therapy horse! From the get go, he was calm and easy to handle, giving the students confidence as they learned about restarting off track Thoroughbreds. He has demonstrated a willingness and talent for Dressage, as well as Trail, and will be competing in both with the students at the TB Makeover.

Slug has told us he prefers to stay shod, but has otherwise been fairly easy and is ready to become your next Dressage or trail mount! PPE's welcome and you can try him at the Makeover in KY, or back in Fort Collins, CO at the conclusion of the Makeover after October 16th.

He is looking for someone to partner with him and see what more he can do! Slug will worm his way into your heart from the moment you first touch him!

As Slug is still a part of ReRun Thoroughbred Adoptions, as well as Colorado State University, his adoption will require an adoption application with ReRun. Cheer on Slug and the Students at the Makeover!
