Trooper

Trooper - a sweet soul with the ground manners & handleability of a gentleman.  Well behaved for farrier, vet & a nice companion to his pasture mates.

Beginner safe on the ground, but best suited to a confident advanced beginner or intermediate rider as he can be forward - He's been extensively trail ridden for the past few years but can be "looky" so again- he's best suited to a confident rider. He wears front shoes and was surrendered as he couldn't keep up with younger horses on long distance rides. His ground covering walk and pace are butter smooth under saddle. On the lounge line he has a trot that a dressage horse would envy, but has not offered a trot under saddle. If you're looking for a sweet natured horse with a bit of pep in his step to join you on casual trail rides, Trooper is your your guy!
