Diesel

This big, gorgeous guy was pretty intimidating to start of. He has zero ground manners and had been getting away with some extremely poor behaviour in his previous home. Our 1st training session was like watching two roosters fighting in the round pen! However by his 2nd training session, he quickly learned our method of lunging. His 3rd session, we were able to saddle, mount and walk, trot, canter around the arena and to realize he also knows how to neck rein. Session #4 our trainer gave a lesson to a teenage student. The potential for this horse seems unlimited. He clearly has great training in his past and we are  directing his energy to showcase what he knows. While we are still working on some of the issues on the ground, we will continue to explore his safe spot which is under saddle.

He stood nicely for the farrier and is UTD on all shots and deworming. Loads calmly in the trailer.

We will be introducing trail in the next few sessions and possibly jumps as well.
