GOMEZ

GOMEZ is a miniature gelding who is looking for a home as a companion/pet. He is curious and friendly. 

Gomez is current on hoof care, deworming and vet care. Our vet tested him for Cushings and he is NEGATIVE...which is great news. 

Gomez had some previous hoof neglect before coming to our rescue and shows evidence of previous laminitis. He has left those days behind him and is on the road to recovery. Our vet did xrays and worked with a skilled farrier and believes that with nutritional management and consistent hoof care, Gomez will be completely fine without any medications. 

His teeth are quite worn and so he may eventually need senior feed. For now our vet has recommended hay and a ration balancer in addition to managed time on grass pasture. 

Gomez won't be placed for riding given his age, size and previous neglect. 

He would be best handled by someone with intermediate or better knowledge of handling horses, because he can be on the pushy side.
