This horse has been evaluated, retrained, and rehabilitated through the CSU Right Horse Program. This unique program follows these objectives: To provide students the opportunity to assess and evaluate horses of all ages, abilities, skill levels, and backgrounds. Students will utilize and advance objective assessment skills; will explore and learn varied training techniques; and will develop training plans by exploring the scientific basis of various training techniques. Emphasis will be on training horses in transitional phases of their lives, including, but not limited to horses with a history of non-use, previous trauma, compliance issues, and other problematic concerns. Students will work with multiple horses throughout this course, providing the opportunity for students to learn and practice diverse training plans and techniques to achieve various outcomes. Students will work at a reasonable pace with his/her assigned horses and will participate in practical exams to monitor their progress.
