Rufio

Rufio is a handsome senior Quarter Horse gelding who came to us this year after his owner could no longer care for him. His beautiful coat and cute face have caught the attention of many here at Longmeadow. 

Upon evaluation, our trainer found that Rufio is trained under saddle, but his swayed back makes him an ideal candidate for a pasture pet or lead line horse. This handsome guy is full of energy, so he would do best with an intermediate handler who is comfortable correcting him if he becomes too pushy. He gets along well with other horses and would be perfectly content living out the rest of his days in a pasture with some equine friends.

Rufio enjoys attention and will need a calm, patient adopter who can work with him on building his comfort levels in a new home, since it tends to take him a bit to warm up to new places. He is well-trained and is a good buddy, and we can’t wait to see where life takes him!
