Wellington

Palomino gelding
14 hh estimated
FEE: TBD by trainer

From the trainer 6/11/2025

Here’s a clip of Wellington‘s introduction to Working Equitation with less than 20 rides under saddle. He’s had the better part of the last two months off as I have recovered from an injury. In that time, we’ve focused on liberty, in-hand work, jaw releases, and saddle fit.
I’ve noticed huge changes in his overall confidence and acceptance of people, tack, and a rider. Given his size and age (at 3yo and 13.1h) I have been happy for this process to be a slow one. It’s important for me that he is given time for his mind and body to grow as he learns the ways of being a solid ridden pony.
As we continue to work together, I am seeing a very bright future for Wellington!

He is currently under saddle and thriving with his trainer.
Horses are typically located in the Appalachian area, but please inquire about a horse's specific location when you apply!

We are looking to adopt to safe homes.

A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first-time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons.

Foal adoptions require previous, established experience with youngsters.

Our adoption process makes sure you get the right horse for you – it is a no-fail process for finding the right match.
