*Located in Maryland, USA. Holland is a stunning bay roan Quarter Horse mare that has been retired from riding but would be a stunning girl to add to your herd as a friend to other horses or as a smart, quiet groundwork/liberty partner. Holland can be a little shy at first but she really enjoys daily grooming and does seem to really enjoy doing a little groundwork throughout the week. She is very polite on the lunge line and has done a bit of long-lining as well. She also has done a fair amount of in-hand work so she is very fun to work with on the ground and would be a great fit for someone that is interested in expanding their knowledge and understanding of groundwork. She can be a little difficult for the farrier and would benefit from regular groundwork and doing stretches! She loved her visits with the chiropractor and really got quite good at carrot stretches although she is quite picky about the treats! Holland tends to be a bit of a bossier mare in the field so if you have a young horse in need of some structure and boundary, Holland might be a good teacher! She also enjoys being in a stall for some down time so if that’s the way you manage your herd, she would fit right in!
