SPIRIT

Spirit is a 25 year old, 14.1 hands Appaloosa with a sweet and loving nature.  She loves to be loved on, groomed and comes when called.  She gets along with her foster’s mares and geldings.

Spirit has arthritis in her knees and takes ½ Equioxx tablet (generic form) to relieve any discomfort.  She stands quietly and calmly for the vet visit.  She does pick up her feet willingly but is limited due to stiffness.The vet believes the stiffness will improve once the weather is conducive to more physical activity.

Spirit appears to have had some training in the past but also has learned that if she acts out, she does not have to do what is asked of her.  She is a quick learner as she quickly realized that her foster was not going to accept her antics.  She will thrive with an adopter with horse experience.

Spirit is looking for a forever home that would like a pasture pet or buddy for another horse.  She is not rideable due to her arthritis but would love to take walks and try in-hand obstacles.
