My Cousin Lou
My Cousin Lou is striking, flashy, and has the sweetest face which shows his inquisitive and kind nature. He is well put together in body and mind and will make an excellent partner as he enjoys company and being doted on. “Louis” is a push ride and prefers ambling along, though will happily get to work with some encouragement. He is quiet and easy on the ground and under saddle, in the arena and in the field, alone and with company.
Louis has been blind in his right eye since he was a yearling, and he doesn’t let it hold him back in the slightest. He is exceptionally aware of his body and his surroundings, and very trusting of both his horsey and human companions. He gets along well with other geldings in turnout, falling in the middle of the pack, is quiet in the barn and has no vices.
He is fully recovered from a tendon injury and is sound in all gaits and capable of a competitive career, though would also make a wonderful trail partner or fox hunter. He is comfortable to ride with nice rhythmical gaits, just takes a bit of work to keep moving!
