JACK

JACK is an adorable donkey who is looking for a home that can accommodate his special needs. Jack with loved in his previous home, but was allowed to get extremely overweight. As a result he has foundered in the past and will need to have a controlled diet for the duration of his life. 

Our vet tested him for Cushings and he was NEGATIVE which is great news. 

Unfortunately xrays confirmed he does have some mild coffin bone rotation in his hooves and arthritis in his knees. Our vet believes both can still be managed with equioxx and he can have a good quality of life, as long as he is managed better nutritionally. He cannot be allowed to roam in a lush field and consume unlimited grass, etc. You will need to provide exercise as well as a dry lot and/or a grazing muzzle. 

Jack is easy to lead and groom. He did give the farrier some problems so an adopter will need to have a patient farrier willing to deal with donkey behavior.
