Prieto came to the HSVC as part of a humane investigation. His previous owner decided it was in Prieto's best interest to be surrendered to the shelter. He was severely emaciated, weighing only 776 lbs! He has come a long way in a short amount of time and is looking for his forever home. He will be gelded before going to his new home.
Prieto is broke to ride and has been ridden, though he will need a refresher. He's friendly overall but has a very strong personality. Though he is now gelded, Prieto spent most of his life as a stallion and will need an owner who has the facilities and knowledge of a horse with his habits.
